With more than 20 years of experience in mortgage lending, Milissa Ommen understands that a successful home loan is about more than paperwork and numbers.
Milissa works with her clients through every stage of the home financing process. Her approach is centered on clear communication, personalized guidance, and exceptional customer service.

Over the course of her career, Milissa has helped clients navigate changing market conditions, different financing needs and the many details that come with purchasing or refinancing a home.
She takes the time to understand each client's individual circumstances, financial goals, and long-term plans before helping them explore their mortgage options. Her goal is to make the process easier to understand and as seamless as possible from application through closing.
Milissa also believes that communication should extend beyond the borrower. A successful real estate transaction involves realtors, attorneys, title professionals and other industry partners, and she works to keep everyone informed and moving in the same direction.
For prospective homebuyers, Milissa encourages getting a loan officer involved early. Starting the mortgage conversation before finding a home can help buyers understand their purchasing power, prepare financially, and be in a stronger position when the right property comes along.
Rooted in Bloomington-Normal, Serving Nationwide
Milissa has been proud to call the Bloomington-Normal area home since 1996. Her long-standing connection to the community has allowed her to build lasting relationships with clients and real estate professionals throughout the area.
She earned her B.S. in Finance and Insurance from Illinois State University after attending Heartland Community College. Her education, combined with more than two decades of hands-on mortgage experience, gives her a strong foundation for helping clients understand the financial side of homeownership.
While Bloomington-Normal remains home, Milissa is licensed to lend in all 50 states, allowing her to serve borrowers nationwide.
Life Outside of Mortgage Lending
When she is not helping clients with their mortgage goals, Milissa enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have four children and three granddaughters, and family time is an important part of her life.
She also enjoys traveling and getting out on the golf course whenever she can.
